OUR MISSION!

"Citizens 4 Change" Dayton Inc.

Our mission: Citizens 4 Change Dayton Inc.'s mission is to help improve communities by connecting individuals in neighborhoods to solve problems. Our goal is to give local communities a voice by assessing community needs and giving residents the tools to work together to improve local conditions.

Operation: Dimes 4 Dayton

This fundraising effort is all about our communities uniting for a common goal. Each collection station spread out across the city will hold YOUR change....pennies, dimes, nickels (you get the idea) 100% of the funds generated from this will be used to improve our neighborhoods. There are many ways that the money can be used and YOU as a resident have a voice. You will also be able to see just how much has been generated via this site, and track every penny! There are also security precautions being put in place (courtesy of Key Bank) that prevent any single person from draining the bank acct and leaving town with cash in hand. The bottom line is this, if WE (the residents want a better city then we HAVE to step up and work for it!) The time has come for us to stand united in this cause and get back to the basics....of caring for those within our communities and setting a standard by which others across this nation would do well to follow! Our efforts are being watched by others, there's no DOUBT of that!!!

We ARE here for YOU!

Dec 20th: Leaders Recon of Westwood and Residence Park area...looking at the following four things. 1. The condition of the housing for our elderly residents, 2. The state of our Dayton Police Force in the area, 3. The condition of the housing for our residents in general, and 4. The state of our DPS schools.

Dec 21: Operation "Dimes 4 Dayton" Container placement day. All day myself and Tamm will be going out to distribute these containers to small business owners across the city.

Dec 22nd: Key Bank 10am We're going to be getting a few "Citizens 4 Change" Accts opened and a few days after that we'll be linking the info to our website where you can see just how much money has been raised DOWN TO THE EXACT CENT and eventually to what community improvement cause it will be going to. Remember 100% of the funds generated from this 36 month long fundraiser will be going straight back into our communities which need it the most.

Dec 23rd: Travel back to Memphis (Touring the Coca Cola Plant) and continuing our economic study of the successful economy of Jonesboro; Arkansas. Our Chamber of Commerce meeting with them went very well and our previous interview with them will be posted around the start of the new year! Some great suggestions were presented to us, which we plan on sharing with our elected officials, about how that they attract and retain those good quality jobs in their city. Jonesboro was BTW one of the few towns within this last year to have experienced a good measure of solid and rather steady economic growth. They have a pop of 60,000 and over 21 factories alone!

Dec 24th: Christmas Eve with my family.
